Bay Eight is a recording facility owned and operated by sound engineers and music lovers.
We are passionate about all musicians. Our mission is to provide our clients with the best environment to create their music. We build upon what an artist represents through our experience and knowledge. Since every musician is unique and deserves a unique approach, we are as actively involved in or transparent to the process as we need to be.
OUR HISTORY
We are formally known as Midnight Blue Recording Studios. This hidden gem has a proven record for producing chart-topping gold and platinum records since its inception in 2000. This Miami Recording Studio has been a staple in the Miami music culture for over two decades.
We proudly celebrate over 21 years of providing high-quality recordings to musicians worldwide.
OUR FACILITY
We are a private recording facility allowing us to control the atmosphere within these walls. Our goal is to always make you the most comfortable you can be.
OUR LOCATION
Located in Miami’s famous “Studio City” in the NMB Commerce Center, a commercial district in North Miami Beach right off of Biscayne Blvd. a home to some of the best recording compounds in the world.
Our location is very safe, well-lit, extremely clean, and secure. We are close to all major highway ramps, minutes away from the Wynwood Art District, Miami Beach, and a stone’s throw away from the Aventura Mall. We have plenty of free secured parking.

An impeccable vocal tracking experience in a cozy space. Pristine radio sound quality with modern vintage decor stocked with the latest plugins, preamps, and compressors.

A serene creative space with an open layout perfect for recording demos, singing, editing, and writing/production sessions, featuring 24ft ceilings and a recently updated iso booth.

COMPARE OUR ROOMS
SSL ROOM
The SSL Room is our largest and most grand studio. SSL Room is our most accurate studio because of its design. Newly renovated in 2020, The SSL Room seats 7-10 guests, up to 20 upon request. One of the key highlights of this studio is the SSL AWS console known for its crisp sound and used for mixing. The SSL Room has the most equipment of all our rooms and has large 18″ Augspurger speakers mounted in the walls. It is an industry-standard studio used by most higher-tier recording artists and the studio of choice for many of our major record-label clients.
APOLLO ROOM
The Apollo Room is a medium size studio, about half the size of our SSL Room. The Apollo Room seats 5-7 guests and comes equipped wth Genelec mastering grade speakers. The speakers are not as big as the Auspurges in the SSL Room, but they are still very loud and fit their room. The Apollo Room is an excellent room for recording, producing, and mixing. Because the room is smaller, many artists feel it is easier to work closely with an engineer. Most of the same equipment in the SSL Room is in the Apollo Room. Many artists prefer to change between these two rooms because the Apollo Room is the little brother to the SSL Room.
WHISPER ROOM
The Whisper Room is our smallest room with the least amount of equipment. The Whisper Room seats 5-7 guests and has 24 foot high ceilings. The Whisper Room is our most digital room with only a few options for outboard analog gear. The Whisper Room is mainly used for production and songwriting sessions. In 2020 we had a platinum record, “Beatbox” by Spottemgotem, recorded and mixed in that room. In comparison to the other two studios Whisper is a creative room and a great space for collaboration with small groups, like wrting camps and producer camps.

If you are in Miami A quick google search for “a recording studio near me” will display a concentrated cluster of studios in the area offering mix & master services. You might feel overwhelmed, and you should, because Miami is an international destination location for the recording industry. In 2016 that Miami ranks as the fifth-highest state in the country for recording studios with a whopping 57 studios, and that number has steadily climbed year after year. So what does this all mean?
For us, it’s all about integrity. Bay Eight (Formally Midnight Blue Recording Studios) made its debut during the popular Latin crossover that took place at the turn of the century in the year 2000. The studio was founded by Grammy-award-winning producer and hit-maker Fabio ‘Estefano’ Salgado. In 2015 Bay Eight was reopened under new management to the public! And that is for the first time in 20 years. Our goal was to create a high-end medium format recording studio in Miami. A one-stop show for all musicians who want to take their songs to the next level. Because we are big enough to service A-list musicians and still affordable enough to service independent musicians we can service any client and welcome all budgets.
